Eden Creek
More African American Literature Books
The world burned three months ago. Lenora Bristow is still learning how to survive what remains when she finds Eden Creek.
The isolated village looks Amish, untouched by the devastation beyond its fences. Its people offer Lenora everything she needs to recover: food, shelter, medicine, and safety. But something about Eden Creek is wrong. Its gardens are too healthy. Its medicine works too quickly. Its residents speak and move as though they learned how to be human by watching from the outside.
Lenora should leave as soon as she is strong enough.
Then there is Greta Miller.
Patient, watchful, and impossible to ignore, Greta makes Lenora want things she thought the end of the world had taken from her. Trust. Home. Love. But Greta is keeping secrets of her own, and the closer Lenora gets to her, the harder it becomes to ignore one terrifying possibility.
Greta Miller may not be human at all.
If Lenora discovers what Eden Creek is really hiding, she will have to decide whether the strange sanctuary behind its fences is another threat to survive or the first place since the world ended where she might finally choose to stay.
