An Irish Family Drama set between 1949 and 1973.

The story begins in the spring of 1949,in a small village of Southern Ireland, where, Ida and Fergal Mahony endeavour to bring up their five children. Ronan, Brandan,Colm and Emmet are the elder brothers of Roisin,the baby of the family and the only girl.

In the struggle to achieve their goals, the siblings strive to overcome doubts and fears. Determination and tenacity are key factors in making the right choices.

Ronan, the eldest, is the first to broaden his horizons in an attempt to find a better way of life. The choice he makes is a giant leap into the unknown.

Hot-headed Brandan often allows his temper to override common sense, resulting in decisions that change his future.

Colm, a quiet boy is content to plod on in life. However, one day he surprises everyone when he makes an unexpected announcement.

Boisterous Emmet with his restless nature, accords him to seek a different path. In doing so, he eventually finds his niche.

Roisin, a young girl seeking to have her own way is protected by her brothers who indulge and spoil her. However, when tragedy strikes, she is compelled to become self-reliant.
