The Surrogate

When Miranda agrees to become a surrogate for a private clinic, the generous payment promises her a new start. She expects months of medical appointments and careful rules. She doesn’t expect Evara, the woman waiting for the baby, to make every visit feel like something Miranda wishes would last longer. Evara’s attention draws her in, even as Miranda reminds herself that their arrangement has an end date.
